It is the dried leaves of the Rosmarinus officinalis L. (Labiatae) species. It is a perennial plant that is 50-100 cm tall, has a bush appearance, does not shed its leaves in winter, and has pale blue flowers.

Its composition contains 8% tannin, bitter substance and 1-2% volatile oil. It is recommended to use it by diluting it with Sweet Almond oil or jojoba oil.
It is an essential oil obtained by steam distillation from the flowering branches of the R.officinalis L. species. It is a product preferred in aromatherapy and some cosmetic products, and has positive effects on hair and skin.
