Seasoning Blends & Other Spices

Browse seasoning blends and specialty spices that sit outside the core Turkish-spice shelf. This is the place for mixed seasonings designed around a cooking style—such as grill, taco, fajita, curry or lemon-pepper profiles—rather than a single spice.

GUIDE & TRADITION

Blends are convenient, but recipes vary

A named seasoning blend does not have one universal formula. Two curry, grill or fajita blends can differ in chilli, cumin, garlic, herbs, salt and acidity, so compare the actual ingredients instead of assuming the flavour from the name.

Salt level matters

Some seasoning blends are mostly spices, while others contain a significant amount of salt or flavouring. If you want more control over seasoning, choose lower-salt blends or use a smaller amount and adjust at the table.

How to use mixed seasonings

Use them for meat, vegetables, potatoes, rice, marinades or sauces according to the flavour profile. Start with the product directions and build gradually, especially with chilli-heavy or salty blends.

Because blends already combine several flavours, taste the finished dish before adding extra cumin, pepper or salt. This avoids stacking the same spice twice and gives you a clearer sense of what the blend is designed to do. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a spice and a seasoning blend?

A spice is usually a single plant-derived ingredient, while a seasoning blend combines several spices, herbs and sometimes salt or other flavourings.

Are seasoning blends always salty?

No, but many contain salt. Check the ingredient list and nutrition information.

Can I use Turkish-packaged blends for non-Turkish dishes?

Yes. This category includes blends inspired by several cuisines and general grilling styles.

How long do ground spice blends stay aromatic?

They gradually lose aroma after opening, so keep them tightly sealed and follow the best-before guidance.
