Chamomile (Matricaria recutita)
Chamomile belongs to the largest family of flowering plants in the world, with over 1,156 species found only in Turkey. Native to Europe, it has spread across all of Europe and the Caspian coasts. Today, it grows in every region except Antarctica. In Turkey, it is naturally found in the Marmara, Aegean, Thrace, and Southwestern Anatolia regions.

Chamomile is an annual herbaceous plant that blooms white flowers symbolizing elegance between May and August. Its leaves have a mildly bitter and spicy taste. Chamomile is also a favorite of honeybees and is one of the most striking and attention-grabbing flowers of spring.

Chamomile, symbolizing purity, innocence, and grace, has been used since ancient times, dating back as far as human history.
